I consider Rafa of Wooz News to be a friend of mine now. We share the common difficulties of speaking publicly about things like the TRUTH! TRUTH!!! of Jaaannnuary 6th!!! and other highly questionable events of dubious factuality.
Rafa is unique in that he uses the spirit of humor to guide the viewer through a perception of the Jaaannnuary 6th!!! “riots” using lots and lots of uncut footage in contrast with the heavily edited selections portrayed in the media. As a viewer, it is truly amazing how the removal of selective editing and the addition of commentary and a laugh track can evoke a completely different spirit: i.e. humor in place of anger.
Rafa was into the “conspiracy theory” world for years – maybe a decade – prior to the Jaaannnuary 6th!!! “riots” and is on record with many of his family and friends as having felt them coming. He knew something was up in the days leading up to the event because of unusual statements of politicians and journalists he already knew were bought or insiders. Whether or not you believe he saw it coming (I do believe now, but I may not have a year ago), he was on top of the event from the earliest hours following it, downloading all possible footage from all sources, all the way from official bought media to real Trump supporters.
If you choose to watch, please consider the following:
Try to replace critiques of the presentation of the content with appreciation for a person who took the initiative to collect and present content while most of us only consume. Rafa is a citizen journalist. What higher calling of media production is there than that? Ask the question: “what would it be like for me to present something like this online in public for all to see with my name on it?”
Accept a continued state of confusion on many specifics details, because even Rafa does not know exactly how this works, where all these people come from, or even whether the dead people actually died! The goal is not to know everything. The goal is to get a little closer to the truth while laughing a little.
All the following emotions: anger, betrayal, disbelief, embarrassment, confusion, can be replaced with a little dark humor. I just shake my head and say, “Wow, that really is fake as f***, right on the capitol building”.
